What's it like inside EAC?

Hear from industry leaders and EAC alumni about what makes our experience different.

"This is an amazing space - one in which I've learned so much about myself and enjoyed being surrounded by interesting and generous people. Yes, those who really want to write a book are generous; they desire to get a message out in the world, and that's very special."

Karen Tisdell

"This is a unique community - full of smarts, loads of energy, ideas at the ready. If none of that works to get you moving forward - you have an amazing syllabus, network, feedback loops, compassionate space for encouragement, friendships to be built, co-writing spaces to join, and opportunities to test your thinking."

Karen Stein

"I really enjoyed my experience with the Expert Author Community and got a lot out of it, personally and professionally. It wasn’t just about writing the book (though that in itself was a huge achievement), it was the structure, support, and accountability that made the difference. If you’re thinking about writing a book and want to stop doing it alone, I’d absolutely recommend jumping in. It’s the real deal."

Clint Rahe

"One of the best decisions I made was to join up and share the energy and passion of this wonderful group of people! Any EAC author’s book is guaranteed to be incredible - so much passion and drive to share valuable content with the world."

Sarah Gray

"Writing a book is hard. Writing a book alone? Even harder. That’s why joining the Expert Author Community (EAC) has been one of the best decisions I have made on this journey. When things got hard (as they inevitably do), these were the people who wouldn’t let me give up. If you’re thinking about writing a book or finding your voice, I couldn’t recommend EAC more highly."

Chamara Somaratne

“I have no doubt that joining the EAC, especially following the Write Book Method, helped me to attract Wiley’s interest. The EAC resources have been excellent.”

Tony Frost

“If you are interested in writing a book and want the structure, support and accountability to ensure your success then I highly recommend the EAC. At the start of the year, I committed to having my manuscript finished by the end of May. Mission accomplished due to this community.”

Andrew Williams

“A heartfelt thank you to the entire EAC community for your encouragement, connection, and inspiration. A special shoutout to Kelly Irving for her incredible guidance and support throughout this writing journey.”

Emma Lagerlow

“The EAC was a blessing in that I learnt so much about how to write a book, the different publishing avenues and agreements. The community fuels a continuous sense of growth.”

Shyam Barr

“Writing a book is extremely daunting. Being part of a network like the Expert Author Community means that you have the practical and moral support to get it done.”

Weh Yeoh

“Our writers community is where ideas, small and big, are percolated, shared, revised, outgrown, thrown out, revisited, challenged, nurtured, loved, turned into words and eventually published.”

Robert Andersson

“Finding and joining Kelly’s tribe was vital to my entire writing journey and the ultimate success of Running Deep.”

Peter Scott

“I have a fantastic book coach, Kelly Irving who told me my initial idea needed work and pushed me to reconsider whom I was writing for and what they needed to know. Expert Author Community was a bit like my pump class and my pod people support, challenge and celebrate with me.”

Monique Zytnik

“Bringing a book into the world is best done in good company – and that’s exactly what the EAC has given me.”

Cassandra Goodman
Self-Fidelity Pioneer & Guide

“This community opened my mind and heart! I was so surprised when I joined the EAC by the diversity of amazing people in the community.”

Melo Calarco

“A community of wonderful authors led by Kelly Irving; and a shared vision to serve others. What could be better than that?”

Michelle Scheibner

“The guidance of Kelly Irving was crucial, as was the inspiration I received from members of the community. Thank you to the Expert Author community that provided such great support as a few sparks of hope became a publishable reality.”

Mark Berridge

“You'll be welcomed into a thriving and very engaged group. You'll be supported and guided, to not just write and publish your book, but to launch and leverage it too.”

Laetitia Andrac

Before working with Kelly, I had grounded optimism that my book would be something of value. Now, I know it to be true.

Keegan Luiters

Writing a book will repay itself in sales, in recognition, in impact and your ability to make the change in the world you’re trying to make

Denise Padin Collazo

“It was one of my best business decision to join the Expert Author Community. Without this ‘skeleton structure’, I would NOT have written so focused, to the point and efficiently. It was an enormous help!”

Ilona Vass

“I am not sure Career Unstuck would have finished without the help and support from this community.”

Charlotte Blair

“A safe and supportive place where all authors support each other throughout the process and sometimes the fear of writing a book. Empowering most of us to do something we have never done before.”

Is this the room for you?

You want your book to create real meaning — for your readers, your positioning, or the opportunities it opens up.

You know there's a valuable book in your ideas or expertise, but shaping it into something clear and compelling feels harder than it should.

You're trying to fit book-writing around work and life, and it's hard to give it the time and structure it deserves.

You've started, stopped, or second-guessed yourself — and you're ready for real support to move it forward, not just more encouragement.

You don't just want more words on the page — even with AI, you want the human judgment to know what's actually worth keeping.

What we help you do

A book asks you to make decisions you cannot (and should not) make alone or with AI.

That judgment still has to come from people.

Inside EAC, you are supported to make the book stronger through structure, feedback, care, and human judgment, with the Write Book MethodTM as the throughline from idea to published work.

FAQs

Answers to common questions about our EAC program and process.

What stage do I need to be at?

You do not need to have everything figured out before you apply. We work with people at many stages — from early idea, to outline, to partial draft, to a manuscript that needs its next step. What matters most is that you want real structure, feedback, and momentum around the book.

What if I’m unsure of my book idea?

That’s okay. Many members join knowing there is a book in their work, but not yet seeing the full shape of it. The intake helps you clarify the idea, reader, direction, and strategic value of the book so you’re not trying to solve all of that alone.

What if I already have a draft?

Great. EAC is not just for people starting from scratch. If you already have a draft, outline, or manuscript, we help you strengthen the structure, sharpen the message, improve the positioning, and make stronger decisions about publishing, launching, or what comes next.

How much live participation is expected?

You do not need to attend everything live to get value from the program. Our intakes are designed for busy professionals, and the support model includes flexibility, recordings, and different ways to engage. The point is not to be everywhere. It is to use the parts of the experience that best support your book and your life.

Can I get regular 1:1 feedback?

Yes. If you want more tailored individual support, exclusive 1:1 sessions with our industry coaches are available for an additional fee. We usually recommend joining EAC first and using the curriculum, coaching, and feedback spaces, then adding private support if you want deeper guidance on your work.

Will this help with publishing pathways, trusted providers, and what comes next?

Yes. EAC helps you think beyond the draft. You will build your EAC Book Proposal, get guidance from publishing professionals, and develop a much clearer sense of the publishing pathways available to you. You’ll also gain access to trusted providers, member perks, EAC Edit-only packages, and EAC Books, so you are not left trying to piece together the next stage on your own.The goal is not to funnel every author down the same path. It is to help you make informed decisions, choose the right support, and move forward with far more clarity and confidence.

What is the program time commitment?

This program is built for busy professionals. You do not need to be writing every day to get real value from it. In the early stages, a few focused hours a week is often enough to make solid progress on your idea, structure, and direction. Once you are deeper in the writing, 5–7 hours a week tends to create the strongest momentum. That is enough for most members to make meaningful progress on the book and work toward one of the program’s biggest milestones: completing and pitching their proposal. Live sessions are optional and recorded, so you can work in a way that fits real life without losing support or momentum.

How much progress can I expect to make?

Enough for this to matter. Intake 5 is built to help every member make meaningful progress on their book — and every member is supported to complete and pitch their proposal, which is one of the biggest milestones in the program. Depending on where you begin, that may mean major progress on a draft, sharper structure, stronger positioning, or real clarity on your publishing pathway. But this is not a vague “work at your own pace and hope for the best” experience. You will leave with stronger work, clearer direction, and a concrete asset that moves the book forward.

Why write alone when you can write alongside.

Apply now to secure current pricing and join Intake 5 with the benefit of the improvements we’re making ahead of November 2026.
