E A Gleeson is the author of The Deepest Thing, a poetry collection that holds disability and family life without reducing either to tragedy or triumph. A poet, essayist and speaker, Gleeson was raised on a soldier settlement farm in the Western District of Victoria on Eastern Maar Country, and her writing carries a deep attentiveness to land, memory and belonging. Her poetry has been published widely in literary journals and presented across Australia, Ireland, the USA and Estonia, and this is her fourth collection. Years in end-of-life care, public relations and education inform her sensitivity to voice, loss and dignity. Gleeson wrote alongside other authors in the Expert Author Community.
